Outline of the 3rd term Fukuyama Comprehensive Development Plan

New town planning policies were adopted in 1995 as guidelines for the 21st century. They spell out policies for the realization of the city as "Unique Rose City Fukuyama, the core city of exchanging activities of shining Seto Inland" with the fiscal year 2005 as a target.
With these policies as the foundation, we plan on moving forward toward a distinctive and lively town where individual citizens can live fulfilled lives, and which responds to such issues as the declining birthrate and the aging population, internationalization, progress of the information age, changes in the industrial structure, and diversification of values.
